Cardiac Anethesiologist

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative evaluations
• Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical and procedural cases
• Maintain accurate electronic medical documentation
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Participate in scheduled clinical coverage and on-call/callback rotations
• Adhere to clinical quality and patient safety standards

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Completed anesthesiology residency and cardiac anesthesia fellowship training
• Board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology
• 3+ years of anesthesiology experience, which may include fellowship and training
• Experience documenting patient care in a hospital-based electronic health record and proficiency with anesthesia documentation systems and perioperative clinical workflows
• Ability to perform and interpret Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) for cardiac anesthesia positions
• Holds a Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) certification
