About the role
As a Card Services Collection Agent, you will be responsible for contacting the proper party (manually or via automatic dialing system), describing the debt and soliciting payment arrangements for the account in compliance with applicable regulations and established policy and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Work to establish rapport to overcome objections and negotiate payment of the debt.
- Detail all discussions and actions in the collections system or database, confirm payment and finalize the call.
- Ensure successful and timely completion of assigned cases.
- Clearly detail issues for resolution.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior call center experience.
- Prior collections experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of collections regulations including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (preferred).
Qualifications
- Valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization required.
- Not eligible to perform in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island, Vermont or Washington.
- Not eligible for employment due to discrimination based on veteran status.
