About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as a part-time Automotive Detailer. This position is located at 9300 Madison Blvd, Madison, AL 35758, and offers a consistent 25-hour workweek.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior—including cars, vans, and trucks
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage
• Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
• Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found
• Verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
• Inspect vehicle exterior for damage and report any safety concerns or warning lights
• Fuel and stage vehicle; pull vehicle out of prep processing as necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report any unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, and branch exteriors
• Sweep the lot and perform other miscellaneous tasks related to daily cleanliness
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past three years
• Candidates with more than one excessive speeding violation (26+ mph over the posted limit) in the last 3 years will be disqualified
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
• Must live within a reasonable commute (no more than 30 minutes) from the location
• Must have at least six consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience
