Car Wash Attendant
About the role
As a Car Wash Attendant, you will help prepare vehicles by washing, cleaning, and inspecting them to ensure they meet quality and production standards. This is a hands-on role for someone who works well independently, follows instructions carefully, and takes pride in completing quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Remove stickers, adhesive residue, protective film lines, trash, and other materials from vehicles.
- Inspect and clean vehicle interiors.
- Wash vehicles using a power washer or automatic car wash, then thoroughly dry each vehicle.
- Complete final detailing and touch-ups to meet quality standards.
- Review work instructions and verify vehicle identification numbers (VINs) to ensure the correct services are completed.
- Record completed services accurately for billing purposes.
- Drive completed vehicles safely to the designated staging area.
- Follow safety procedures and work instructions while maintaining productivity, quality, and a positive team environment.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Comfortable driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Capable of reading and understanding written work instructions, reports, and vehicle information.
- Strong attention to detail when matching required services to the correct vehicle using the VIN.
- Physically able to bend, stoop, twist, lift, stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Willingness to work required overtime.
- Effective communication skills when working with coworkers, supervisors, and management.
About You
You are dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently with direction from a supervisor. You take pride in completing quality work, following through on assigned tasks, and contributing to a positive team environment. This position is represented by Teamsters Local 495.
Pay
Starting pay for this position: $32.07 per hour.
