Car Wash Attendant

About the role

Part-time position at Store 2743008 (250 Tarentum Bridge Road, New Kensington, Pennsylvania 15068) with weekend-only shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and explain wash options.
• Assist every customer at the pay stations.
• Field customer inquiries.
• Guide customer vehicles into the wash tunnel.
• Maintain the car wash by performing cleaning tasks such as taking out garbage, sweeping the lot, and pressure washing the wash bay.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and basic troubleshooting of daily duties.
• Report to work on time and follow the dress and appearance code.

Duties breakdown: 70% customer interaction, 20% site upkeep, 5% opening/closing procedures, 5% basic troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and recommend wash memberships.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn a point-of-sale system.
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
• Ability to work as a team with minimal supervision.

Customer service and sales experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, use of hands, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
• Work in damp, humid, and variable outdoor weather conditions.
• Lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to moderate to excessively loud noise (hearing protection required).
• Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection.
