Car Wash Attendant

About the role

Part-time car wash attendant position at Store 2743008 (250 Tarentum Bridge Road, New Kensington, Pennsylvania 15068) with flexible shift availability including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and explain wash options.
• Assist customers at pay stations and guide vehicles into the wash tunnel.
• Field customer inquiries and recommend wash memberships.
• Maintain site cleanliness by taking out garbage, sweeping the lot, and pressure washing the wash bay.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and basic troubleshooting of daily duties.
• Report to work on time and adhere to the dress and appearance code.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Breakdown of duties:

• 70% Customer Interaction
• 20% Site Upkeep (Cleaning/Maintaining)
• 5% Opening/Closing Procedures
• 5% Basic/Light Troubleshooting

Requirements

• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and recommend wash memberships.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn a point-of-sale system.
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Customer service and sales experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, use of hands, reaching with hands and arms.
• Climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
• Work in damp, humid, and outdoor variable weather conditions.
• Lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to noise; hearing protection and other PPE required.

Working Environment

The role operates in a typical outdoor car wash environment with moderate to excessively loud noise levels. Adherence to OSHA safety guidelines and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection is required. The incumbent must perform duties safely without endangering themselves or others.

Supervision

The team member must be capable of performing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
