Car Wash Attendant

Job Description

Responsible for greeting customers, answering questions, and explaining the wash options available.
Stand at the pay stations and assist every customer that comes through the wash.
Field customer inquiries.
Guide customer vehicles into the wash tunnel.
Upkeep the condition of the car wash by performing cleaning tasks such as taking out the garbage, sweeping the lot, and using a pressure washer to clean the wash bay.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Reports to work on time and follows the dress and appearance code.

Duties And Job Breakdown Percentages

• Customer Interaction - 70%
• Site Upkeep (Cleaning/Maintaining) - 20%
• Opening/Closing Procedures - 5%
• Basic/Light Troubleshooting of Daily Duties - 5%

Job Requirements

• Excellent communication skills including active listening.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
• Able to anticipate customer needs.
• Able to recommend different wash memberships to customers.
• Able to work as a team.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn a point of sales system.
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude.

Experience

Customer service and some sales experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Use of hands; reach with hands and arms.
• Climb or balance; stop, crouch and kneel.
• Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs on a regular basis and occasionally up to 50lbs.
• Exposure to noise.

Working Environment

• Typical outdoor car wash environment.
• Moderate to excessively loud noise levels with hearing protection required.
• Adherence to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols.
• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment such as, but not limited to hearing, eye, foot, hand protection.

Supervision Received
