Car Wash Attendant

Store location: 250 Tarentum Bridge Road, New Kensington, Pennsylvania 15068

About the role

Part-time position with flexible shift availability, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and explain wash options.
• Assist customers at pay stations and field inquiries.
• Guide customer vehicles into the wash tunnel.
• Maintain the car wash by performing cleaning tasks such as taking out garbage, sweeping the lot, and pressure washing the wash bay.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and basic troubleshooting of daily duties.
• Report to work on time and follow the dress and appearance code.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Duties breakdown:

• 70% Customer Interaction
• 20% Site Upkeep (Cleaning/Maintaining)
• 5% Opening/Closing Procedures
• 5% Basic/Light Troubleshooting

Requirements

• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and recommend wash memberships.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn a point-of-sale system.
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Customer service and sales experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, use of hands, reaching with hands and arms.
• Climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
• Ability to work in damp, humid, and outdoor variable weather conditions.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to noise levels that may require hearing protection.

Working Environment

• Works in a typical outdoor car wash environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection.
• Must perform job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Minimal supervision required; capable of performing responsibilities independently.
