Car Wash Attendant

About the role

Part-time car wash attendant position at Store 2743008 (250 Tarentum Bridge Road, New Kensington, Pennsylvania 15068) available on weekends only.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and explain wash options.
• Assist customers at pay stations and guide vehicles into the wash tunnel.
• Field customer inquiries and recommend wash memberships.
• Maintain the car wash by performing cleaning tasks such as taking out garbage, sweeping the lot, and pressure washing the wash bay.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and basic troubleshooting of daily duties.
• Report to work on time and adhere to the dress and appearance code.

Breakdown of duties:

• 70% Customer Interaction
• 20% Site Upkeep (Cleaning/Maintaining)
• 5% Opening/Closing Procedures
• 5% Basic/Light Troubleshooting of Daily Duties

Requirements

• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and recommend wash memberships.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn a point-of-sale system.
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Customer service and sales experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
• Ability to work in damp, humid, and variable outdoor weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to noise; hearing protection and other PPE required.

Working Environment

• Works in a typical outdoor car wash environment with moderate to excessively loud noise levels.
• Must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection.
• Performs job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering self or others.

Supervision

The team member must be capable of performing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
