Car Wash Attendant

About the role

Part-time position at Store 2743236 (6720 West 130th Street, Parma Heights, Ohio 44130) with shift availability during days and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and explain wash options.
• Assist every customer at the pay stations.
• Field customer inquiries.
• Guide customer vehicles into the wash tunnel.
• Maintain the car wash by performing cleaning tasks such as taking out garbage, sweeping the lot, and cleaning the wash bay with a pressure washer.
• Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
• Report to work on time and follow the dress and appearance code.

Breakdown of duties:

• 70% Customer Interaction
• 20% Site Upkeep (Cleaning/Maintaining)
• 5% Opening/Closing Procedures
• 5% Basic/Light Troubleshooting of Daily Duties

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, including active listening.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs.
• Ability to recommend different wash memberships to customers.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn a point-of-sale system.
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude.

Customer service and some sales experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Frequently stand and walk throughout the workday.
• Use of hands; reach with hands and arms.
• Climb or balance; stoop, crouch, and kneel.
• Work in damp and humid conditions.
• Work in outdoor variable weather conditions.
• Lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to noise.

Working Environment

The incumbent must perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others. This position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment with moderate to excessively loud noise levels, requiring hearing protection and other personal protective equipment (PPE) such as eye, foot, and hand protection. Adherence to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols is mandatory.

Supervision

The team member must be capable of performing their responsibilities with minimal supervision.
