Car Wash Assistant Manager Level 1

Full-time position with required availability on weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Function as the manager in charge when Site Manager is unavailable
• Order and stock vending products
• Train new hires on opening/closing checklists and proper loading techniques
• Train the team on Fast Pass sales techniques
• Respond professionally to voicemails and emails in a timely manner
• Create effective work schedules
• Maintain complete knowledge of Car Wash vacuum system operation and cleaning (pressure washing the system)
• Support the Site Manager during monthly team meetings
• Assist with on-site Supervisor Courses
• Supervise teammates completing preventive maintenance (PM) and assess if further training is needed
• Complete the GSR Daily Breakdown

Requirements

• High school diploma plus 6 months to 1 year of retail and management work experience preferred
• Leadership and communication skills, including active listening
• Experience with team building
• Excellent sales and customer service skills
• Ability to anticipate customer needs
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude
• Three or more years of retail experience, with at least one year in a supervisory/management role
• Candidates with supervisory experience from a Big Box environment, auto industry, car wash, or lube store are encouraged to apply

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to stand and walk throughout the workday
• Use of hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, crouch, and kneel
• Work in damp and humid conditions
• Work outdoors in variable weather conditions
• Lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs

Working Environment

The incumbent must perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others. This position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment with moderate to excessively loud noise levels, requiring hearing protection and other personal protective equipment (PPE) such as eye, foot, and hand protection. Adherence to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols is mandatory.

Supervision

The team member must be capable of performing their responsibilities with minimal supervision.
