Car Detailer

About the role

HireArt is assisting our client in hiring a Car Detailer to join their team. This role involves preparing rental vehicles for service by ensuring they are clean, fueled, inspected, and ready for drivers. The Car Detailer will play a crucial part in maintaining a high-quality customer experience by delivering vehicles that meet the company's cleanliness and readiness standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and detail rental vehicles, including interior and exterior surfaces, to company standards.
• Fuel vehicles and prepare them for customer pickup.
• Install telematics devices, license plates, and other required vehicle equipment.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and report any damage, maintenance needs, or cleanliness concerns.
• Ensure vehicles are properly staged and ready for driver assignment.
• Organize the vehicle lot and move vehicles as needed to support daily operations.
• Absorb and communicate effectively with on-site staff and remote support teams.
• Provide clear, concise updates and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain the company's quality and safety standards throughout the vehicle preparation process.
• Work independently and follow instructions.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in an in-person customer service role (e.g., retail, technical support, hospitality).
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license; satisfactory driving record; and insurable under the company’s policy.
• Familiarity with the local market area.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and resolve problems effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to maintain patience, de-escalate situations, and work effectively in a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including high temperatures.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and materials as needed.
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and detailing tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

Commitment

This is a full-time, 4-month contract position (with the possibility of extension) staffed via HireArt. This role is onsite and available to candidates local to the Phoenix, AZ area.
