About the role

As a Lot Attendant you will maintain the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles at our Market Hubs, coordinate with fellow employees to ensure timely deliveries and the highest level of customer satisfaction.

About Carvana

Carvana sells cars without traditional salespeople, promising to only sell a vehicle that the company would feel comfortable selling to its own mother. Market Operations team members work together to deliver awesome customer experiences while staying agile to daily changes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each vehicle for mechanical, drivability, or cosmetic concerns.
• Wash and vacuum all inventory on a regular basis.
• Complete a multi‑point inspection on arriving inventory, including fuel level, safety features, drivability test, and proper display of all company and state disclosures.
• Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and external vendors.
• Interact and communicate with team members and management across all lines of the business.
• Adhere to regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (desirable).
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past three years.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lb independently (majority from knee to shoulder height; other lifts from various levels) and carry/transport up to 60 lb up to 20 ft.
• Ability to stand for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing/pulling in environments that may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, and may contain fumes or odors.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Use of safety equipment such as face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments as required.
• Frequent driving and occasional typing.
• Commitment to regular and predictable attendance.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Pay

Competitive starting hourly rate of $17 /hr with performance‑based increases:

• Starting pay: $17 /hr
• After 3 months: $17.25 /hr
• After 6 months: $17.50 /hr
• After 9 months: $17.75 /hr
• After 12 months: $18 /hr

Eligibility for the “Careers Not Jobs” program provides four merit opportunities annually, allowing an additional $0.25 increase every 90 days.
