Car Detailer

About the role

As a Lot Attendant, you will maintain the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles at Carvana Market Hubs, coordinate with fellow employees to ensure timely deliveries, and help deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each vehicle for mechanical, drivability, or cosmetic concerns
• Wash and vacuum all inventory on a regular basis
• Complete multi‑point inspections on arriving inventory (fuel level, safety features, drivability test, proper display of company and state disclosures)
• Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and external vendors
• Interact and communicate with team members and management across all lines of the business
• Adhere to regular and predictable attendance

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is desirable
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Have a clean driving record for the past 3 years
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently (majority of lifting knee‑to‑shoulder height; other lifts from various levels)
• Ability to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet
• Capable of standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling in environments that may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, and have fumes or odors
• Must work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity required
• Use of safety equipment such as face shield/goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments
• Frequent driving and some typing required
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Hiring contingent on passing a complete background check
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $19/hr. Pay range: $19–$20 hourly. Increases every 90 days based on performance: $19.25 at 3 months, $19.50 at 6 months, $19.75 at 9 months, $20.00 at 12 months. Through the Careers Not Jobs program, eligible team members can receive an additional $0.25 increase every 90 days (four merit opportunities annually).
