Key Responsibilities

  • Actively prospecting, networking, and cold-calling to find new clients.
  • Assessing client risks and customizing insurance programs (property, casualty, life, health) to fit within the carrier's product portfolio.
  • Interviewing prospective clients to analyze their current financial situation and coverage gaps.
  • Handling policy renewals, updates, and endorsements to maintain customer retention.
  • Acting as a liaison between the client and the insurance company, guiding policyholders through the claims process.
  • Updating and maintaining accurate client records in company systems.

Common Job Requirements

  • Licensing: State-required insurance licenses.
  • Sales Focus: Strong desire to meet or exceed monthly/annual sales quotas set by the parent company.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication skills to build long-term relationships and handle client inquiries.
  • Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of the specific company’s rules and underwriting guidelines.
