Job Summary
Serve as part of the Fiscal Management Statewide Fiscal Systems team for the Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS) Program, including HR/Payroll, Financials, STARR, and related systems. Provide support and expertise to a large network of Texas state agencies, leveraging extensive knowledge of Texas public sector policies and requirements.
System Configuration & Maintenance
- Perform and oversee system configuration changes and support batch job processes (e.g., Run My Jobs/RMJ).
Technical Expertise
- Utilize advanced technical skills with App Designer, Integration Broker, SQR/SQL, BI Publisher, SAP Business Objects, and related tools to fulfill functional duties.
Security & Compliance
- Apply security best practices, NIST standards, and multi-tenancy principles to statewide ERP systems.
Public Sector Experience
- Provide support and expertise to a large network of Texas state agencies.
Strategic Planning & Roadmap Management
- Develop and manage strategic roadmaps by integrating planning, functional insights, and cross-functional communication.
Support Tools Utilization
- Use tools such as PUM, Fluid, and Elastic Search for support and troubleshooting.
Project & Incident Management
- Conduct functional project management activities, provide Tier 2 Service Desk support, coordinate with Tier 3 Managed Services vendors, and manage Priority 1 and 2 incidents within the Major Incident Management (MIM) process.
Disaster Recovery & Audit Support
- Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises and support audits and open records requests by gathering and presenting relevant data.
Executive Communication
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and reports.
Contractual & Vendor Management
- Interpret contractual language, integrate requirements into workflows, and ensure vendor compliance with contracts.
PeopleSoft FSCM Expertise
- Provide expert support for the CAPPS Financials tower in PeopleSoft FSCM version 9.2, including the General Ledger and other core and non-core modules (Purchasing, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Billing, Inventory, Project Costing, Strategic Sourcing, Travel & Expense).
Process Coordination
- Plan and coordinate the Fiscal Year Process at a statewide level.
Requirements Development
- Gather requirements, analyze, design, develop, test, and implement components for statewide systems (CAPPS, TINS, SPA, USAS).
Accessibility Compliance
- Prepare materials compliant with WCAG 2.1 standards for accessibility.
ITIL Principles
- Apply ITIL principles and practices for IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) to align IT services with business needs.
Continuous Learning
- Adapt to and integrate new systems and platforms (e.g., CGI Advantage) as required.
