About the role
The Legislative Services Agency is seeking a part-time Capitol Tour Guide.
Responsibilities
- Conduct tours at the Iowa State Capitol including the building, dome, and grounds
- Develop educational tours
- Research State Capitol information
- Handle retail sales
Requirements
- Excellent public relations skills
- Effective communication and leadership skills for tour groups
- A strong speaking voice
- Strong customer service skills
- An interest in learning historical information related to the State Capitol
Qualifications
- Knowledge of state government is beneficial
