Capital Risk Manager

About the role

Senior leader for active risk management of Capital working with Corporate Treasury and Finance. Responsible for independent risk oversight of capital interpretation, application, and change management. Leads a team that oversees Basel regulatory change implementation and risk management over capital risk appetite and adequacy. Partners with Senior to Executive Leaders in Business Lines to oversee the creation, implementation, and maintenance of an effective risk management framework. Accountable for the active identification, response, and/or escalation of risks as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent risk oversight of capital interpretation, application, and change management.
• Oversee Basel regulatory change implementation and risk management related to capital risk appetite and adequacy.
• Partner with senior and executive leaders to develop and maintain an effective risk management framework.
• Identify, respond to, and escalate risks as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than 15 years of applicable experience.

Skills

• Considerable understanding of Capital rules and regulations and industry range of practice.
• Thorough knowledge of Corporate Treasury and Finance, business line operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls.
• Strong expertise in Balance Sheet risk competencies.
• Proven leadership and management skills for processes, projects, and people.
• Effective at managing stressful situations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Schedule

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $186,150.00 - $219,000.00, based on the primary location.
