Position Overview
The Capital Markets Data Analyst is dedicated to supporting the Capital Markets group from within the Enterprise Intelligence department. This role focuses on data analysis, SQL skills, and ETL processes.
What You’ll Do
- Data Analysis & SQL
- Write, read, and improve complex T-SQL against existing objects
- Investigate data discrepancies and reconciliation variances
- Translate capital markets business questions into clean, reusable, maintainable SQL and BI assets
- ETL & Pipeline Maintenance
- Maintain and monitor existing ETL processes and data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory
- Apply a working understanding of ETL principles to troubleshoot pipeline failures, data freshness issues, and load discrepancies
- Reporting & Power BI
- Build and own Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models
- Support both real-time and longer-cycle reporting needs
- Business Partnership
- Work directly with capital markets stakeholders
- Proactively determine how data and reporting can better support stakeholders
- Support investor integration efforts
- Participate in the Automation Task Force
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a closely related data role
- Advanced SQL skills
- A strong analytical mindset
- A working understanding of ETL principles and experience maintaining data pipelines
- Power BI development experience, including report and dashboard authoring and semantic model design
- The ability to work independently and self-manage a workload, while collaborating closely with both the business and the Enterprise Intelligence team
Preferred
- Experience in mortgage banking
- Direct capital markets experience (Gain on Sale, hedging, Daily P/L, investor reporting, secondary marketing)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Notebooks) and Azure SQL
- Experience leveraging AI tooling to improve data workflows
- A degree in a quantitative, technical, or business field
Compensation and Benefits
The annual compensation for this position generally ranges from between $95,000 - $135,000. Benefits include:
