About the role
CRI's Capital Markets Group is a national practice that serves publicly traded companies, companies preparing to access the capital markets, and private equity-backed businesses. Our team helps clients navigate: Public company audits, SEC reporting and compliance rules and regulations, PCAOB auditing standards, Internal controls and SOX compliance, IPO readiness and capital raising transactions, Technical accounting matters, Financial reporting challenges associated with growth and change. Our clients operate across a variety of industries, including, but not limited to, technology, software, life sciences and biotech, manufacturing & distribution, consumer products, oil & gas, and financial services.
Essential Functions
- Directly with partners, managers and senior associates on active client engagements
- Receive hands-on experience throughout the internship program
- Gain exposure to:
- Financial statement audit procedures
- Testing account balances, transactions, and internal controls
- Preparing audit workpapers and supporting documentation
- Participating in client meetings and walkthroughs
- Performing analytical procedures and financial statement analyses
- Researching accounting and auditing guidance
- Collaborating with engagement teams to address accounting and reporting matters
- Supporting engagements throughout planning, fieldwork, and completion
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
- Intent to pursue CPA licensure upon meeting eligibility requirements
- Strong academic performance
- Completion of introductory and intermediate accounting coursework preferred
- Leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, employment, volunteer activities, or other campus involvement is a plus
