Capital Markets Associate, Private Equity Real Estate
About the role
The Capital Formation Associate will lead efforts to cultivate, expand, and deepen relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, single-family offices, and select wealth advisors who directly oversee large-scale private capital allocations. This role does not involve raising JV LP capital from private equity groups or large institutional investors. Instead, you're building lasting relationships and closing real estate equity rounds with accredited investors or qualified individuals who allocate their own capital without requiring control.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to raise direct LP capital from high-net-worth individuals (HNWs), ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), and family offices
- Source and connect with prospective investors via outbound calls, emails, and events
- Aid in preparing compelling pitch materials, investor decks, and data room content
- Track pipeline activity, investor feedback, and relationship progress in CRM
- Communicate the firm's investment thesis, track record, and current opportunities with clarity and conviction, tailored to the sophisticated needs of target investors
- Support the end-to-end capital raising process; from initial outreach and relationship building to supporting due diligence and closing
- Partner closely with senior leaders to develop tailored investor strategies and ensure follow-through
- Cultivate and maintain deep, trusted relationships with UHNW investors, serving as a strategic advisor on real estate investment opportunities
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including acquisitions, asset management, and finance, to provide investors with accurate and timely information
- Represent the firm at exclusive investor events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand the investor network
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in capital raising, investment banking, sales, private equity, or real estate investment management
- Proven ability or strong interest in sourcing and managing direct LP capital from high-net-worth individuals (HNW), ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), and family offices (preferred)

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident and comfortable making outbound calls and engaging in investor conversations
- Highly coachable with a strong desire to learn from senior leaders
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple relationships and tasks simultaneously
