About the role

The Capital Budget Specialist supports the funding and tracking of construction and capital projects. This role manages job funding, budget revisions, purchase orders, and related project activities while working closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams. The Capital Budget Specialist ensures requests are accurate, properly documented, appropriately approved, and completed in a timely manner. This position verifies that required approvals are obtained and established company procedures and internal controls are followed. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Reports to the Capital Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

• Review and process new job funding, budget revisions, and purchase order requests.
• Address budget and category issues through budget analysis.
• Verify requests have the appropriate supporting documentation and approvals.
