About the role
The Product Associate supports dispensary operations by assisting patients with product selection, order fulfillment, transactions, and customer service. This role requires strong communication skills to engage with a diverse patient base and uphold the company’s ethical, team-oriented culture. While cannabis retail experience is a plus, it is not required.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to company mission, core values, and ethical standards while maintaining professionalism.
- Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
- Deliver a seamless experience from entry to exit, ensuring each patient receives full attention.
- Maintain and enforce company customer service standards; address inquiries and complaints.
- Guide patients on the sales floor, recommending products based on their needs and available inventory.
- Assist patients in selecting products tailored to their ailments.
- Fulfill orders with 100% accuracy and efficiency.
- Operate cash register, POS system, and cash drawer following company procedures.
- Verify patient eligibility and allotment using the state system.
- Follow proper cash handling and product handling procedures, including safety and compliance policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dispensary, including stocking, sanitizing, and opening/closing duties.
- Collaborate with the team to meet sales, patient satisfaction, and compliance goals.
- Manage inbound phone inquiries and route calls as needed.
- Comply with all medical cannabis laws and regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings, ongoing education, and professional development.
- Stay updated on industry trends through publications and training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma; college degree preferred.
- 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in retail.
- Cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required.
- Local applicants preferred.
- Strong customer service skills, phone etiquette, and cash handling experience with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers, address questions, and resolve issues.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on process optimization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with flexibility and adaptability.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, squat, kneel, bend, walk, and use a computer for extended periods.
- Must handle constructive criticism and guidance professionally.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proper employment documentation.
- Availability to work 7 days per week, including holidays, with a flexible schedule.

Pay
This non-exempt position is eligible for overtime pay, with an hourly range of $18.00–$20.00.
