Cannabis IPM/Machine Tech
About the role
Join a small, skilled team committed to premium and consistent flower, sustainability, and an exceptional customer experience. As the Cannabis IPM/Machine Tech you’ll be the bridge between plant health and production efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Leading integrated pest management (scouting, monitoring, beneficial bug releases, and room sprays)
- Aiding the post-harvest team by running trimming machinery part-time
- Ensuring clean, compliant operations through daily inspections, SOP-driven treatments, equipment calibration and preventative maintenance
- Accurate recordkeeping and data entry for compliance (treatment logs and equipment maintenance logs)
- Collaboration with cultivation and processing teams to maximize yield quality and uptime
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Demonstrated ability to perform routine IPM tasks: scouting, identifying common pests and disease indicators, monitoring traps and environmental data, and executing SOP-approved control measures
- Comfortable operating, cleaning, and maintaining cultivation and post-harvest machinery
- Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills (motors, belts, pumps, sensors, wiring)
- Strong recordkeeping and data entry skills for compliance (treatment logs and equipment maintenance logs)
- Ability to follow written SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks in varied temperature/humidity conditions
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak production or equipment maintenance windows
Desired Skills
- Training in IPM, pesticide applicator, or horticultural pest management
- Prior experience in regulated cannabis cultivation or related agricultural production
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to sustainability practices and waste-reduction initiatives
