Cannabis Delivery Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Capture and assign delivery routes to drivers efficiently and accurately
• Maintain real-time monitoring of active deliveries, driver statuses, and route progress
• Ensure all orders are accepted, staged, and dispatched according to company standards
• Communicate delays, issues, or changes to drivers and management immediately
• Verify completeness of all delivery documentation before dispatch (IDs, manifests, receipts)

Compliance & Accuracy

• Affirm compliance with California DCC regulations and company policies on all deliveries
• Verify customer information, order details, and delivery eligibility before dispatch
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, timestamps, and driver records
• Report any discrepancies, incidents, or compliance concerns to management promptly

Driver Support & Accountability

• Act as the primary point of contact for drivers during shifts
• Ensure drivers adhere to safety, vehicle, and security protocols
• Confirm completion of vehicle inspections, lockbox procedures, and end-of-shift checklists
• Track driver attendance, punctuality, and communication

Customer Service & Communication

• Assist with delivery-related customer inquiries or issues when needed
• Maintain professional, calm, and solution-focused communication
• Coordinate with sales floor and management to resolve order or payment issues

Administrative Duties

• Support end-of-shift reconciliation and reporting
• Participate in audits, reviews, and operational improvements as directed
• Maintain organized dispatch records and reports

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Previous dispatch, logistics, or coordination experience preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-volume or high-pressure situations
• Basic computer skills and comfort using POS, delivery, or routing systems
• Ability to stand, sit, and work in an office/dispatch environment for extended periods
• Experience in a regulated industry (cannabis, transportation, logistics, or security) preferred
• Familiarity with cannabis delivery compliance and procedures preferred
• Ledgership or supervisory experience preferred
