Cannabis Biomass Processor

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Biomass Processor to join our extraction team. This role involves receiving, inspecting, weighing, and preparing incoming biomass, as well as maintaining inventory and communicating with the extraction team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and weigh incoming biomass against manifests
• Check for contaminants (mold, stems, fan/water leaves), and ensure accurate logging
• Freeze and store biomass as needed to maintain quality
• Prepare biomass for extraction (lot inspection, packing, and quality tracking)
• Maintain precise inventory and tracking using Bamboo and spreadsheets
• Communicate with extraction team to prioritize daily feedstock needs
• Track and report waste in compliance with state regulations
• Auxiliary tasks such as assisting with lab setup, cleanup, equipment maintenance, and post-processing tasks
• Support Research & Development projects as assigned

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Attention to detail, time management, and team communication skills
• Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in cold storage and around chemicals (with proper safety gear)
• Cannabis or extraction knowledge is a plus, but not required
• Basic computer skills (Excel, data entry, inventory systems)

Qualifications

While not required, prior experience in cannabis or extraction is a plus.
