(CAN) GM Lead Department Manager

About the role

To assist in the leadership of General Merchandise and Fashion Associates and department processes through partnership with the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager, ensuring a high level of customer service while completing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting with product promotions, locating merchandise, helping with purchase decisions, resolving customer issues, and escalating concerns as needed.
• Assist in directing and coordinating task completion based on priorities communicated by the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and the Store Management Team.
• Assess the overall presentation of General Merchandise and Fashion Departments, identify deficiencies for corrective action, and execute merchandising display changes as required.
• Delegate, assist, and follow up on the completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks.
• Support scheduling as needed.
• Assign Associates to support coverage and availability tasks across all store areas.
• Participate in the training and development of General Merchandise and Fashion Associates and provide feedback as needed.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by adhering to Company policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 16 or older.

Pay

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $21.85 per hour.
