(CAN) Deli Bakery Team Lead

Assists in the leadership of the Fresh areas and department processes, responds to problems and inquiries, and develops associates through teaching and training. Ensures a high level of customer service while ensuring task completion. Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the sales floor as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise, and making purchase decisions.
• Resolve customer issues and refer concerns where appropriate.
• Assist in providing direction and coordinating task completion as per communicated priorities from the Fresh Coach and the Store Management Team.
• Delegate, assist, and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability process tasks.
• Assess the overall presentation of Fresh Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
• Ensure strong communication with associates, lead the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift, provide updates, set goals, and track productivity.
• Review completed schedules with the People Lead and assign associates to support coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
• Tour assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities.
• Develop associates through teaching and training and provide feedback as needed.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment through adherence to company policy and procedures, including completing safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and support management.
• Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for associates.
• Support recruiting and hiring new associates.

Pay

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $20.85 per hour.
