Can Assembly - Operator, 1st Shift

About the role

Responsible for the safe operation, housekeeping, and bar code labeling of manual and semi-automated metal stamping equipment (Bodymaker, Seamer, Palletizer).

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain manual and semi-automated metal stamping equipment safely.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and apply bar code labeling.
• Perform required quality checks and record results as appropriate.
• Achieve or exceed demonstrated production rates while maintaining safety and quality.
• Read and understand production schedules, orders, and instructions.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Work in teams and maintain flexibility to operate multiple machines during a shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with minimal previous training.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Exposure or experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of quality, PPE requirements, and safety policies.
• Ability to operate production machinery safely.
• Ability to work in tight and high places, with constant walking and standing.
• Willingness to work in conditions involving pushing, pulling, climbing, handling, reaching, and stretching.

Work Environment

• Inside conditions with seasonal extremes of heat (100°F+), humidity, and high noise levels.
• Exposure to oil, dirt, and occasional outside weather elements.
• Work in tight areas and high places.

Pay

Pay range: $20.24–$26.72 per hour, depending on experience, work location, and skills.
