About the Role
This position reports to the university’s HVAC supervisor and involves comprehensive maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and mechanical equipment in all university buildings. The technician will also monitor, troubleshoot, and repair control systems and provide customer training on the safe operation of HVAC equipment. Regular work hours are 8am–4:30pm. Technician will respond to on-call/after-hours emergencies with flex-time provided.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and install HVAC and mechanical equipment
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC control systems
- Provide customer training on the safe operation of HVAC equipment
- Respond to on-call and after-hours emergencies
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience servicing and repairing commercial HVAC systems
- Valid Missouri driver’s license
- Background check required
- Experience with VRF, DOAS, Boiler, and Chiller systems preferred
- Experience in HVAC controls and software systems preferred
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, self-motivating, and possess excellent customer service skills
