About the role
The Campus Safety Officer Supervisor is a key leadership position reporting to the Associate Director of Campus Safety Field Operations.
Responsibilities
- Daily supervision and coordination of campus safety personnel, including officers and dispatchers.
- Ensures the safety, security, and wellbeing of the campus community through effective oversight of patrol operations, incident response, emergency preparedness, and staff development.
- Serves as a field operations supervisor, and point of contact for both internal and external partners during assigned shifts.
Requirements
- AA Degree in Administration of Justice/Criminal Justice/Security Administration or a combination of college and experience in a lead or supervisory law enforcement or campus safety security.
- At least three (3) years of relevant security, public safety, or law enforcement experience.
- Two (2) or more years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Valid CA. driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
Completion of POST Advanced certificate or higher certification is preferred.
Skills
- Familiarity with Clery Act/Title IX compliance and emergency response protocols.
