Campus Safety Officer – Evenings
About the role
Milton Academy seeks a Campus Safety Officer to serve in a community-focused role. The position involves maintaining and ensuring the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff, as well as Academy-owned or used properties. The officer will proactively identify and respond to and address community needs, representing the institution 24 hours/day and serving as a gateway to services. They will welcome and direct visitors during the school day and at various events and athletic competitions, document any incidents on campus, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
Responsibilities

- Represent the institution 24 hours/day

- Coordinate with law enforcement as needed
- Build relationships with faculty, staff, and students, especially on-campus residents
- Create a sense of familiarity and belonging
Qualifications
- Experience working in a security or law enforcement capacity
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting and moving equipment
Pay
The salary range for this position is $23 to $25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The Campus Safety Officer will work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the institution, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
