About the role
We are seeking a versatile WLAN/LAN Engineer to join a network team. The role provides expertise across various network technologies to ensure seamless operations and advanced-level network services for WLAN and LAN infrastructure. This position offers support and guidance for network design and installation projects using standard technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot Campus WLAN/LAN networks.
- Configure and manage Cisco Catalyst Center, Client, and Catalyst 9k switches.
- Configure and manage Aruba Central, Mobility Gateways, Access Points, and ClearPass.
- Collaborate on network upgrades, projects, and migrations.
- Ensure network security, availability, and performance.
- Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
- Participate in a rotational on-call support for critical network issues.
Qualifications
- Must be able to convert FTE/Perm without needing sponsorship now and in future.
- Candidates must have a CCNP or a CCIE certification.
- An undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
- 5+ years of experience in LAN/WAN engineering is necessary.
Required skills
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot Campus WLAN/LAN networks.
- Configure and manage: Cisco Catalyst Center, Client, and Catalyst 9k switches.
- Configure and manage: Aruba Central, Mobility Gateways, Access Points, and ClearPass.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center, Client, and Catalyst 9k switches.
- Proficiency with HPE Aruba Wireless Mobility Infrastructure and ClearPass.
- Understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
- Knowledge of switching protocols (STP, VLANs, Trunking).
- Familiarity with network security best practices.
Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite at any of these locations: Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Wayne, PA
