About the role

The Gift of Life Campus Ambassador Internship Program is a selective leadership opportunity for passionate, motivated college students who want to make a real impact on their campus and in the world. Students will serve as the face of Gift of Life at their college, educating peers, organizing donor recruitment events, growing awareness, and inspiring others to take action that could literally save a life.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Gift of Life on your campus with professionalism, energy, and enthusiasm
  • Support the growth and visibility of the Campus Ambassador Program at your university
  • Organize and execute donor recruitment drives, tabling events, presentations, and awareness campaigns
  • Conduct outreach to student organizations, clubs, athletic teams, fraternities/sororities, and campus partners
  • Recruit and engage prospective volunteers and ambassadors
  • Lead targeted outreach efforts to diversify the donor registry and expand campus partnerships
  • Collaborate on marketing and communications initiatives, including social media content and promotional efforts
  • Stay in regular communication with your mentor and take initiative in planning and executing activities

Requirements

No prior experience is required! Just a willingness to learn, grow, and make an impact. Successful Campus Ambassadors are:

  • Strong communicators who are comfortable speaking with peers and presenting publicly
  • Self-starters who take initiative and work independently
  • Organized, accountable, and reliable
  • Energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic

  • Involved on campus and excited to build connections within their community
  • Interested in leadership, nonprofit work, healthcare advocacy, community outreach, or event planning

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

  • A strong interest in healthcare advocacy and community outreach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Outgoing personality and ability to connect with diverse groups of people
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Passion for the cause and commitment to making a difference

Schedule

Approximately 40 hours per semester

Flexible scheduling designed to accommodate academic commitments

Additional involvement opportunities available for students who want to take on a larger role

Occasional evening or weekend availability may be needed for campus events and outreach activities
