Campus Aide

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs crossing guard duties as necessary.
• Maintains a system for the orderly disposal of food waste and ensures the cleanliness of tables and surrounding areas during meals.
• Circulates among the tables during the mealtime to be available to children who need help or to resolve any minor problems that arise.
• Makes sure students are safe and interacting appropriately during recess and enforces school rules.
• Informs assigned teachers or Deans of any serious infractions of discipline rules by students.
• Works with school personnel to answer phones, prepare mailings, and ensure students board the bus in a timely and orderly manner.
• Welcomes and documents visitors and provides general maintenance as needed.
• Assists school and custodial staff with spills and other messes as needed.
• Provides building security as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year working with children or youth-serving organizations.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to keep accurate records and prepare reports.
• Available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
• Highly organized and motivated, self-starter, and able to work independently.
