About the role

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a seasonal Camper Service Attendant to join our team at Big Meadows Wayside in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. As a Camper Service Attendant, you will sell retail merchandise to guests, creating an excellent experience for our guests at all times.

What will you do?

  • Greets and acknowledges guests, answers guests' questions and assists whenever possible, as well as processes returns, with approval of supervisor
  • Processes sales with the appropriate point of sale system, accepts payment, counts change, and bags merchandise
  • Maintains a clean and organized store or stand with orderly back-stock
  • Ensures all merchandise is correctly labeled and displayed, notifying General Manager of defective, mis-marked, mislabeled, incorrectly priced, or damaged merchandise
  • Watches for and recognizes security risks and thefts and reports to security and management
  • Empty trash
  • Clean showers, bathrooms and laundry room
  • Stack and/or move wood

More About You

  • No high school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in cash handling and operating point-of-sale systems required
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills with the ability to accurately handle money and count change

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and stand for the entire length of the shift
  • Ability to bend, reach, walk up and down stairs, and climb on a step stool frequently

Pay

$16.00 - $16.00 / hour
