Summary

Blood Cancer United is a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization, relentlessly pursuing cancer cures. To help achieve this mission, this role is responsible for building relationships with fundraising volunteers while implementing innovative peer-to-peer fundraising products to exceed revenue goals for Blood Cancer United's mission within a designated market area.

Core Responsibilities

  • Drive high-impact peer to peer fundraising to achieve overall revenue annual budget
  • Implement organizational campaign standards across event portfolio to ensure annual budget is achieved
  • Maintain consistent and clear view of key performance indicators (KPI) that serve as precursors to overall revenue performance
  • Use KPI data to drive, advance and adjust activity to stay on target and on timeline
  • Partner with Campaign Development Director and Director of Campaign Excellence to build strategic plans, track progress, and make periodically revisions to ensure event portfolios achieve budget
  • Build and manage a sponsorship pipeline by prospecting qualified corporate partners, securing discovery and pitch meetings, customizing standard pitch decks to meet prospects' needs, and closing revenue-generating partnership agreements
  • Collaborate with local region team and national shared service partners throughout Blood Cancer United
  • Partner with Education, Services and Health Research department to effectively communicate the Blood Cancer United overall mission, programs, resources, and priorities
  • Responsible for organizing mission centered, local donor cultivation events and prospecting high-impact donors for national stewardship activities
  • Responsible for the recruitment and cultivation of high-level volunteer committees
  • Develop recruitment plans and actively secure new partners through independent research, prospecting and volunteer relationship building
  • Consistently research, network and prospect for high level volunteers and corporate partners to continuously build the pipeline for revenue and mission activities

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4 - 6 years' experience in a directly relatable role

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This role is the third step in our CDM professional career ladder. Incumbents are expected to demonstrate a solid understanding of campaign success requirements and execution, including KPIs and accurate forecasting. Work is typically focused on complex or large campaigns. Pipeline development reflects good market, community and constituent perspectives. Demonstrates excellent relationship building, volunteer recruitment, and sales skills. Consistently plans the approach and manages campaign resources with high independence. At this level, may help develop colleagues' understanding of campaign success requirements and may coach and the work of lower-level team members.

  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of multiple sales channels including digital and social media
  • Strong collaboration skills with Mission Teams and other organizational partners
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to supervise and lead a group of volunteers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines effectively
  • Ability to influence and persuade others

Pay

Base pay range for this position is $41/hr ($75k/yr) to $46/hr ($85k/yr). The offered compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Blood Cancer United we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the current compensation of similarly situated roles and direct team members. Base compensation is only one component of our Total Rewards program, which also includes an annual incentive plan and a competitive benefits package.
