Responsibilities

• Assists in the daily implementation of programs and activities.
• Helps maintain a comfortable environment for the safety, health, and well-being of participants.
• Assists with planning and coordination of activities, including set up and clean up.
• Helps lead children through a variety of activities including organized sports, swimming, weekly field trips, arts and crafts, and games.
• Helps process enrollments and registrations for students; collects payments.
• May communicate with parents regarding their children during drop off and pick up.
• Follows established safety practices; administers First Aid and performs CPR if necessary.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and organizes classroom.
• Completes fifteen (15) training hours annually.

Camps you may assist with:

• Gold Medal Camps – different sport each week
• Rock Rec Camp – arts and crafts, swimming, hiking, games, trampolines
• Multi-Sport Camp – play different sports each day plus swimming and trampolines
• Great Outdoors Camp – hikes, biking, zipline, challenge hill, Sky Trek, Adventure Tower

Requirements

• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Current CPR, First Aid, Standard Precautions, and Medication Administration Certifications required or ability to obtain such certifications upon hire.
• Must meet appropriate Aid requirements/qualifications and provide all documentation as required by the State of Colorado’s Department of Human Services upon hire.
• Must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check including Colorado Bureau of Investigations and TRAILS/Central Registry criminal record review prior to commencing employment.

Skills

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Skill in oral communications for effective expression and clarity.
• Skill in performing CPR and First Aid.
• Ability to respond to parent and child concerns with considerable tact and courtesy.
