Background of the current Manager

Camille Coughlin, the current Manager, has a background in journalism and digital media, and brings curiosity, creativity, and a storyteller’s eye to everything she does. She especially enjoys shaping video, audio, and social content into compelling stories that highlight the people, ideas, and momentum driving Greater Akron forward.

Experience and Education

Before joining the Chamber, Camille helped launch Signal Cleveland’s nonprofit newsroom and was nominated for the Institute for Nonprofit News’ Nonprofit News Newcomer of the Year award. She graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Mass Media Communication Studies and Journalism.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Camille enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, exploring Akron with her husband Joe, and doting on their Treeing Walker Coonhound, Ellie Mae. She also spends her free time playing pool and Darts at High St. Hop House, doing Hot Yoga at YogaSquared, going to Jazz shows at Blu, playing golf at Good Park, running in the MetroPark, and visiting the Cuyahoga Valley Farmers Market. Camille is also a dedicated coffee hobbyist whose drink of choice is single-origin cold brew.
