The Business as Mission (BAM) Position

The BAM position will use business education and experience to support church-planting teams by creating for-profit businesses that provide jobs and economic benefit to unreached people groups in Cambodian communities.

Responsibilities

• Research and launch small businesses
• Mentor small business owners
• Add value to Cambodian communities
• Provide a platform for mentoring and discipleship ministries among nationals
• Plan, implement, and grow businesses in Cambodia
• Living among an unreached people group, learning their culture, and developing proficiency in the native language
• Working collaboratively with a church-planting team
• Establishing viable business plans
• Gathering investment capital for the business and its expansion
• Providing visas for colleagues
• Training staff – developing positive, gospel relationships with them
• Developing company policies and protocols
• Establishing a healthy customer base
• Incorporating God-honoring principles throughout the businesses

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have business experience and good business acumen. An advanced Business degree is not mandatory but a good understanding of conducting business with a focus on fiscal responsibility and being people/relationally oriented is essential. A firm grasp of Business as a Mission (BAM) concepts is also required.

Qualifications

This position requires at least a five-year commitment.
