About the role
You are passionate about the next generation encountering Jesus and growing in a lifelong relationship with Him. You have a heart to create engaging, Gospel-centered environments where kids learn Biblical truth, hide Scripture in their hearts, and grow in their faith alongside their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight for all aspects of the Elementary Ministry (Kindergarten–3rd Grade), casting vision and ensuring a cohesive, Gospel-centered experience from large group to small group.
- Lead, develop, and shepherd Elementary Ministry staff, equipping them to thrive in their roles, execute with excellence, and align with the ministry’s vision and strategic plan.
- Recruit, train, and mentor small group leaders, adult volunteers, and student leaders, fostering a healthy culture of spiritual leadership, deep discipleship, consistent community, and well-trained volunteers.
- Develop and contextualize curriculum by adapting and writing small group materials based on an established scope and sequence, with the ability to research and author original series from scratch when needed.
- Partner with parents by creating intentional communication, resources, and environments that equip families to disciple their children at home.
- Collaborate with campuses and the broader Calvary Kids team to maintain alignment, unity, and consistency in culture and experience across all environments.
- Direct and execute major ministry events (e.g., Kids Conference, Easter, Christmas, and other family ministry events) in alignment with the overarching Calvary Kids strategy.
- Build and implement operational systems, managing safety procedures, volunteer onboarding workflows, classroom organization, and database reporting within Ministry Platform.
- Perform care and counseling to volunteers, children, and families through prayer, Biblical guidance, crisis support, and intentional relationship building.
