Calling All Local Teaching Artists! (Princeton)

Responsibilities

• Conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for your class
• Create memorable experiences for the children in your class to help them grow and develop a passion for your art
• Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!), prepared with the lesson plan for the day
• Help children understand why your subject is so wonderful and how it's helped shape you as a person

Requirements

• A fun, enthusiastic, adaptable instructor
• Experience teaching school age children
• Excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
• Knowledge of creating a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• The ability to bring your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
• Cooperation, supportiveness, flexibility, dependability, proactiveness, and a desire for autonomy

Qualifications

• Relevant teaching experience
• If lacking formal teaching experience, provide any other relevant experience or training in a cover letter or on the application questionnaire

Benefits

• Candidates advancing from screenings will have a second video interview, including sharing a sample lesson plan
• The final step of the process will involve clearances for working in schools (where relevant), and references
