About the role

The ISTAR-Information Sciences and Technologies and Architecture Research Center (ISTAR-Iscte, https://istar.iscte-iul.pt/) opens a call for two (2) research fellowships, hereinafter referred to as Research Scholarship, for students holding a Master’s degree and enrolled in a doctoral/Ph.D. course in a Portuguese higher education institution; or enrolled in a course not conferring an academic degree integrated in the educational project of a Portuguese higher education institution.

Responsibilities

The scholarship will be financed through the project DSAIPA/AI/0122/2020 “Mobile Applications Based on Artificial Intelligence for Public Health Response”, under contract with the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) – AIM-Health on the FCT Call AI 4 COVID-19 – ISTAR (https://istar.iscte-iul.pt/news-posts/istar-won-the-project-aim-health-on-the-fct-call-ai-4-covid-19/).

Requirements

• Knowledge in artificial intelligence, machine learning, modeling, prediction, optimization, real time systems, algorithms
• Previous knowledge in the areas of the object of activity of the scholarship

Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates holding a Master’s degree and enrolled in a doctoral/Ph.D. course in a Portuguese higher education institution; or enrolled in a course not conferring an academic degree integrated in the educational project of a Portuguese higher education institution, with an accumulated period of two years, followed or interpolated, in this typology of fellowship, not exceeding at the conclusion of the fellowship contract.

Skills

Knowledge in artificial intelligence, machine learning, modeling, prediction, optimization, real time systems, algorithms and previous knowledge in the areas of the object of activity of the scholarship.
