CALL FOR 2 ASSISTANT RESEARCHERS

About the role

The Centre for Information Sciences Technologies and Architecture (ISTAR) at ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa is seeking two permanent positions as Assistant Researchers. One position is in the scientific area of Arts, specifically Architecture, Urbanism, Design, and Heritage; the other is in Computer and Information Sciences, focusing on Information Technology.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research projects aligned with the jury's evaluation criteria.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaborations within the Centre.
• Teach and mentor students in relevant fields.
• Write research papers and reports for publication.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Architecture and Urbanism or an area deemed suitable by the majority of the Selection Committee members for the position in Arts.
• Doctorate in Information Science and Technology, Information Technology Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Information Systems, or a related field for the position in Computer and Information Sciences.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in the relevant field.
• Experience in conducting research related to the jury's evaluation criteria.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Skills

• Knowledge of Blockchain, Decentralized Ledger Technologies, Digital Transformation, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience for the position in Computer and Information Sciences.
• Expertise in Historical Urban Landscape and Digital Humanities for the position in Arts.

Benefits

• Full-time permanent work contract in the private sector.
• 14 months of salary, Social Security, and Food Allowance according to National Law.
• Base salary indexed to the FCT Tenure funding instrument.

Pay

• Salary based on the FCT Tenure funding instrument.

Schedule

• Immediate start date upon successful completion of the selection process.

• This call for applications is conducted under the FCT Tenure funding instrument.
