About the role

Kids Are Our Everything. This contact center role involves registering and scheduling patients' appointments by telephone, communicating with parents, patients, physicians, and other staff, and ensuring accurate patient information is entered into the computer management system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide client support to parents/guardians via phone for on-line registration help, scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling of appointments.
  • Inform parents of departmental scheduling guidelines and discuss co-payment or payment in full requirements.
  • Complete calls accurately and promptly; transfer calls as needed; notify supervisor of difficult calls.
  • Enter appropriate notes in the system; obtain necessary information for accurate documentation of registration printouts, consent documents, and other forms.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and coverage for anticipated services using EVS, ENVOY, Mamsi-online, UHC, and by contacting insurance companies; document authorization and information in Account Notes and fields.
  • Collect and verify demographic, PCP/referring physician, and insurance information.
  • Make recommendations for internal process improvements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of experience performing patient registration and scheduling, medical insurance screening and verification

Pay

The pay range for this position is $17.95 - $27.49 per hour. The exact pay rate will be determined based on a variety of factors including the current market conditions, organizational needs, and the individual's qualifications.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is typically Monday through Friday, with flexible hours to accommodate patient needs.
