Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answers, screens, and directs calls on multiline phone system
  • Takes detailed messages and/or forwards telephone calls to appropriate practitioner, voice mail, or pager
  • Schedules patient appointments
  • Composes and types routine correspondence as required
  • Collections outstanding balances
  • Inputs patient information and demographics into computer system
  • Validates insurance, and PCP
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional medical office environment
  • This job also operates in a fast paced, highly customer service environment, working with Children and Family/ Guardian’s
  • Routine use of standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones as well as medical equipment
  • Physical demands while standing, walking or sitting for long hours, lifting up to 20 lbs, communicating efficiently in front of large or small crowds

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position
  • Days and hours of work vary Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Rotating on Weekends is required
