Duties and Responsibilities
- Answers, screens, and directs calls on multiline phone system
- Takes detailed messages and/or forwards telephone calls to appropriate practitioner, voice mail, or pager
- Schedules patient appointments
- Composes and types routine correspondence as required
- Collections outstanding balances
- Inputs patient information and demographics into computer system
- Validates insurance, and PCP
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Work Environment
- This job operates in a professional medical office environment
- This job also operates in a fast paced, highly customer service environment, working with Children and Family/ Guardian’s
- Routine use of standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones as well as medical equipment
- Physical demands while standing, walking or sitting for long hours, lifting up to 20 lbs, communicating efficiently in front of large or small crowds
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position
- Days and hours of work vary Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Rotating on Weekends is required
