Calibration Technician - Field (OCS)
About the role
OCS Technologies, an Accredited Labs company, is seeking a qualified Field Calibration Technician to support on-site calibration services for customers throughout Northeast Ohio. This position is responsible for performing calibrations at customer facilities in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
Essential Functions
- Perform on-site calibration of customer equipment at customer facilities
- Primary disciplines may include torque, pressure, dimensional inspection, electrical, and temperature (based on experience)
- Follow documented calibration procedures, work instructions, and quality system requirements
- Accurately record calibration data and results in the calibration management system
- Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and communicate findings per company procedures
- Maintain calibration standards, tools, and company vehicle in good working condition
- Represent the company professionally at customer sites
- Travel daily to customer sites to perform on-site calibrations and related services
- Perform field calibration work at multiple customer locations, including some overnight travel as required by business and customer needs
- Meet productivity, scheduling, and turnaround time expectations
- Support internal and external audits as required
- Attitude and machinal inclined – field services industry
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a calibration technician or in a related technical field
- Working knowledge of one or more calibration disciplines
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, specifications, and drawings
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a field environment
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory or field service environment
- Multi-discipline calibration experience
- Familiarity with calibration management software (IndySoft preferred)
- Experience supporting regulated or enterprise customers
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Field-based role requiring travel to customer locations
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport calibration equipment
- Occasional overnight travel may be required based on territory and workload
- Occasional overtime may be required
