Calibration Technician

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled calibrations and verifications of measurement and test equipment according to established procedures and calibration schedules.
• Maintain an accurate calibration database, including equipment status, calibration intervals, certificates, and historical records.
• Ensure measuring equipment is properly identified with calibration labels.
• Cook up external calibration services.
• Review calibration certificates for compliance.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs when appropriate.
• Remove out-of-tolerance equipment from service and assist investigations.
• Maintain NIST traceability as required.
• Support audits with calibration records.
• Develop/update calibration procedures.
• Train employees on proper equipment use.
• Maintain organized calibration lab.
• Participate in continuous improvement.
• Follow safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
