Responsibilities
- Aid in providing calibration support of precision measurement, test equipment, and maintaining cleanliness requirements of Diver Life Support System (DLSS) and Oxygen systems.
- Track certification and technical requirements for all calibrations and cleaning services within the Deep Submergence System (DSS) - SOC boundary.
- Determine technical and material requirements to maintain a NAVSEA certified laboratory.
- Maintain requirements for competent testing and calibrations in accordance with NAVSEA 04-04734, NAVAIR 17-35TR-8, and ANSI/NCSL Z540-3.
- Research and identify quality assurance controls and requirements as per Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual.
- Interface with the Supply Department and RPPO for document numbers, stock numbers, and material identification.
- Conduct research of technical information including manuals, specifications, and requirements for DDS/DCS/Diving Maintenance personnel.
- Maintain Clean Room to meet MIL-STD 1330 and MIL-STD 1622 standards.
- Perform In-Service Calibration by processing planned and corrective maintenance.
- Accurately and efficiently prepare certification documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of calibrated systems.
- Clean and certify new gear according to MIL-STD 1330 and MIL-STD 1622.
- Maintain an electronic system for indexing and filing calibrations.
- Conduct fly-away calibrations and clean services during deployments.
- Provide In-Process Work Controls during calibrations and DLSS clean work.
- Resolve technical, equipment, procedural, and material problems with other contractors.
- Train NAVY personnel in certifying members as O2 Clean Workers and O2 Clean Room Workers.
- Participate in weekly meetings on product development and package approvals.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 12 years of related experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with FMP management practices and automated modernization information systems.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with submarine maintenance, IMA, or repair.
- Minimum 10 years of experience interpreting and implementing management policies in automated modernization systems.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working in a class 100,000 cleanroom.
- Qualified Oxygen Clean Instructor.
- Secret clearance.
- Prior military experience preferred.
