About the United Church of Christ

The United Church of Christ is an inclusive and diverse community of Christians connected by faith that calls us to build a just world for all. Our ministries advocate at national and global levels, while our roots remain firmly planted in local churches across the U.S. With millions of members and thousands of authorized clergy leaders, we foster global partnerships to grow a just and peaceful world.

For over 400 years, the United Church of Christ has been a "church of firsts," weaving God’s message of hope and extravagant welcome with action for justice and peace. We are a church where Jesus the healer meets Jesus the revolutionary, and together, we effect change in our communities. Our faith and call for justice are woven into the history of our country.

The UCC is led by a team of elected officers, board members, and national staff associates who support local church leaders. Our affiliated ministries provide operational, financial, and social services to local churches, congregants, and greater communities.
